Hi! I’m Katelyn. I am young home schooled girl that lives right smack in the middle of the city with my miniature horse, Turbo (short for Turbinado, which is a kind of sugar). We have about an acre and a half, which may be a lot in the city, but I still had to go before the Animal Grievance board to ask for a variance on the the code that says the pen has to be at least 200′ away from the nearest neighbor’s house. I received the variance, on the condition that he have shelter, a rabies shot, and a negative coggins ( which means he’s been tested for any horse disease). He arrived here in May 2007. This is my blog about training him, his adventures, and just everyday life.
