This is the first time I drove Turbo
Just some walking.
This was towards the end of Turbo learning to drive.
Very sorry I haven’t written for awhile. In April, we went to the World Hunger Relief Farm’s Farm Day. It went pretty good except for the end where Turbo (and the cart) fell into a small ditch. With the help of a bystander and the lady that was helping me, we were able to get him out with no injures.
More recently, Turbo is losing all of his winter coat. So every time I groom him (at least once a day) I end being a furball! It’s getting better though. As far as training we’ve been working on: standing still for longer and longer periods of time without pawing, backing up, etc., backing up (giving to pressure), standing up for show (with the front feet square and the back square or one foot stretched back and his neck up and arched. Sort of like this:
Except not with the neck so much.
I’ll probably be going to my grandmother’s farm for two weeks later this summer to help with the camps she gives. Turbo will be going, too, so I need to get him to the point where the campers can give him a bath without him running over they’re toes and jumping around. Lot’s to do!
