Hey!

Wow, it’s almost been a year since I’ve posted. Crazy. Life has been kind of busy, and I may have possibly MAYBE forgotten about this blog. Anyyyywayy. Turbo’s doing absolutely fantastic. He’s finally lost most of his winter coat, so he looks all sleek and stunning. I’ll be leaving for camp/my horse/work in a few days, and I’m hoping to take him with me. He can see his old mini friends and graze in giant green pastures. Yum.

Also, I got a new puppy! Her name is Liesl, and she looks almost exactly like Turbo. She’s the same colour brown, and  four white socks (like him) and some patches of white.  She’s about 7 months old, and looks like she’d be a good candidate for agility training (basically jumping over small jumps, running through tunnels, running up and down ramps. It’s pretty cool, you should check it out on youtube.), which I’m hoping to start with her in the fall.

So the whole point if this blog is to keep you updated bout Turbo. I haven’t been doing that… Sorry. Maybe I’ll do better. Anyhoo, Turbo’s doing good. At least, I hope he is. I’m at my grandparent’s right now, and he’s back home. He’ll be coming here next week. I have a friend here who also has a mini, named Lacy. She’s ADORABLE. We have fights over who has the cutest mini. We finally decided she has the cutest mare, and I have the cutest gelding. Anyway, right now we’re training Lacy to pull a cart. We want to drive them both in the Veterns Day parade. So far, we’ve put the harness on Lacy, and long lined her a bit. Long lining is basically driving them without a cart. She’s had a bit in her mouth a couple times, so that made bridling her easier.

Clean

Yay for clean horses! Just gave Turbo a bath with the help of a neighborhood friend who is interested in animals and her brothers. He was very feisty, because there were several people helping, and he does not like getting wet. When I first got him he would not tolerate baths, but he’s gotten better as I’ve worked with him. Of course, this is the same horse who will stand out in the rain….. 

We’re alive!

Yes, Turbo is still alive, yes, so am I.

I took apart my camera (it was old and dying), which makes it rather hard to take photos of El Turbinado. I’m saving up for a new one, while at the same time hoping for one for Christmas.

He grew his winter coat sometime last month, which is early for him. Hmm. So now I have a muddy, in-need-of-worming furball in my backyard. Whoopee!

Also, we got invited back to Farm Day. Yay!
